Hunter Universal Programmable Thermostat (model 44132) connection to TRANE XE 1200 Heat Pump?
I have a Hunter Universal Programmable Thermostat (model 44132) connected toTRANE XE 1200 High efficiency weather ton HEAT PUMP. It keeps on showing AUX flashing when the pump kicks on and the fan doesn’t stop in auto mode. Please help me
Are you sure the Tstat is wired correctly?
If you did NOT have this problem in cooling. And you verified that the stat is wires correctly.
The fan limit switch (sequencer) is stuck. Which may cause the Electric heat to always be on and also the fan could be stuck on on.
If the unit outside is froze up its possible that either the defrost board has failed and it stuck in AC mode, so the OD fan on the heat pump would be off but you would hear the compressor running, and this would also engage the electric heat because the defrost board is sending signal to bring on the Aux heat cause it thinks it in defrost mode. Im guessing as Im and not there. But it possible
This one maybe way over your head and you might need to call in a pro.
FWI the reversing valve wire should be orange and according to hunter it connect to the B terminal not the O.
