How long would a nine volt battery last against a 158w Peltier Plate?
It would be great if some equations were included. Thanks.

Also, how much voltage would I need to power a 45w one for 30 mins? Again, thanks.
A small 9 volt battery would not provide a tenth of the power you’d need, even for a few seconds! Ten of them in parallel might provide you with a single 10 minute shot, but while the power rating of the 9 volt may be sufficient (0.5 amp-hour) , I doubt if it could deliver the current at the required speed. It is more designed to provide much lower currents over longer periods of time.
It MAY produce 10 watts for 5 seconds. It MAY produce 5 watts for 30 seconds. Since your device needs 158 watts, you might get the idea that the tiny 9 volt will not do much at all.

You are confusing volts with amperes. The voltage requirements are up to 15 volts, so a 12 volt car battery would work. You can also get 4 amp hour (4ah) 12 volt batteries. That should, theoretically, provide 48 watts for one hour.
At 12 volts, you would need about 4 amperes (12 * 4 = 48 watts), so one of these (rechargeable) batteries would last for about an hour.
