MHFU Protect the fortress elder quest?
Hi there
I’ve been playing monster hunter for some time and im stuck in this quest where i have to protect the fortress against Lao-Shan Lung but i cant give him ‘nuf damage for him to back off
My HR is 2 so yeah, my resources are pretty limited
for weapons i have a devil slicer, blue wing, a black katana Mk.ll, A tigrex tooth, Anvil Hammer, a black hammer, twin flames, and my personal favorite a Tormentor cause of the high damage
for armors i have full kusha, full cenataur and almost full rathalos soul (currently in need of the helmet)

Your equips are pretty good and your weapons are as well I don’t know how you are not managing.. But here are some basic tips:
Since you are a blademaster the best place to hit lao shan is on his stomach (The light belly part between his hind legs)
You probably have armor with the skill “wind res high” or something of the like (you defeated daora a buttload of times to make the armor) So I would put that on then take you strongest hammer and just keep doing the triple pound combo on that belly.
Take some farcasters with you (that tail has killed me countless times) and also whatever attack buffs that you can get (power seeds, mega demondrugs [to make them you combine a catalyst with a power seed then the result with pale extract]) and then wail on that stomach.
If You decide to use the ballistas and dragonator (personally I think that I would just to break the monotony) Aim the ballistas at the lighter plates of his back (weak point for gunners).
Remember that you do not need to kill him- you just need to stall him enough to make him retreat so if you want to take a different approach take a pair of dual swords and wail at his legs (I believe that the legs have a lower stagger limit- I’m not sure) that is how I won my first time but It was hardly efficient)
Suggested armor:
If hammering either use a armor with wind res or something like the white monoblos armor (adrenaline +2= 30% attack boost and 90 defence boost when health is less than 40)
But Your rathalos soul will do fine
For dual sword Yian Garuga w/ the yian garuga mask- imo best low rank dual sword armor
