does my nissan micra have a clutch cable?
Hi, Im really rubbish when it comes to cars, I have a 1989 nissan micra k10 988cc (four gear model, H reg) and find I am having to push the clutch pedal a lot harder to change gear, it only happens when the car is running and not when its idle/switched off, I had a new clutch fitted last summer and have ben advised that it may be that the cable needs adjusting, however I have also been told that It may have a hydraulic one, so am unsure which I have, and the hydraulic “fix” sounds expensive to repair, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Check under the hood and look by the brake fluid container. You should see another smaller container/reservoir if you have a hydraulic clutch. You could also look underneath the dash at the clutch pedal and see if a cable is attached there.
