Electric Sub

i was charged with a felony for conspiracy to damage property. plead guilty. can I still work in forensics.?
I was charged federal for conspiracy to damage property, My husband & brother in law called and needed a ride home, 2am. I went to pick him up thinking he was drunk. I was unaware that my brother in law tried to break into a electric sub station. They nothing with them, then a few days later my husband and Matt were picked up by police. when the case went federal, I was picked up for conspiracy. I plead guilty because I was afraid of a jury trail. If convicted I would get Prison time. I myself was a correction officer for 4 years. If I plead for them then I received probation. now my police academy and all is down the drain. I was just wondering if there was anything a felon can do in the correctional field?
It is unlikely that you could because anything related to criminology would require you to testify in court and the felony would be a problem, however you could go into court and have it reduced to a misdemeanor or as another option go to college and get your Bachelors degree in the administration of justice and teach in a community college.~
